i'm rushing to finish a fanart of Agila and Maya! Ack! Hope I finish them on time! So far I've finished Agila, but I wanted to draw Maya as Cathy cosplayed her :)

I also need office plans to build a small voice recording booth in it ;)

I also need to remember to buy Trakk 2, preferably with a Philip Tan cover, because it's drawn by Mico Suayan! Wheeeeeeee! Congrats pare! Habol na lang ako nyeheheh! And also drop off my indies for consignment, because people wanted to buy again. Wheee!

I also hope to meet up with Jawbreaker girl Claire Villacorta to get some Gabriela history/materials for a pin-up I'll be doing for Siglo 2 :)

Then in Tandang Sora I hope to wall climb again and also check out a sound booth that uses foam instead of gypsum board, called Sound Creations, owned by a Japanese guy named Shinji. I hope I can find it :p

wheeeeeeeee! beho and I are going to UPLB today because I'm researching about soundbooths. Afreelance gig involved building a small one to record voices without the noises, and he said the one in the devcom building (DZLB station) is the best :)

I'm going back to Makati. For now I'm only sure to be there until Saturday. Tuesday to Thursday I supervise the animation of my character designs (yay!). Then on Friday I'll meet Derrick to congratulate him for getting into the Top 5 in the Architectural Board Exam (congrats man!) :D

OH MY GOD! ANOTHER FAN ART! WHEEEEEEE!

I had a shout out to people asking for letters, comments and 'fan art' to be published in the second issue of my indie :) It's just overwhelming whenever people do submit works like this. They look so nice! I love 'em! (heart bubbles) ^_^

If you want to submit stuff yourself it's not too late ;) release is December pa! You have until then!

I remember another seies I used to read, back in elementary. It's called "The Adventures of Archibald Higgins".

I tried looking for it online but I couldn't find a single picture of it, so sadly I can't share it with you the way I wanted to.

Anyway, if any of you is lucky enough to have come across these books let me know ;)

Archibald Higgins is a sort of scientist. not the usual geeky be-spectacled lab rat, but looks like a regular joe. Actually he basically is. except he has this seeming thirst for knowledge and never stops endeavoring into the scientific concepots and theories and discusses stuff like robotics, big bang theory, aerodynamics through makeshift experiments and fun discussions and debates with the other characters in the books.

It's like the most fun science book I've ever encountered, because it's in comics form :) i never enjoyed reading comics AND science like when i read those books :)

I'll post more when I remember more of my childhood readings. I still love to read, only I'm too busy nowadays to read them, let alone acquire new books.

Wheee! Adel Ramos submitted a fan art for my next issue of "Jac Strips For You" (out next C3con)! I replaced the xmas graphics on the right of this blog with it. Will have new blog template to go with it soon, hopefully by gabe :)

Static Shock

Crikey! After getting grounded (again) this time by touching the aircon, my officemate Pam asked me if I rub my hands and feet against the bed.

"Yeah, whenever I sleep. They say I've been doing that since I was a baby. Why?"

"That causes static electricity."

"Gyah?!?"

And all this time they've been teasing me of being a mutant because I get static shock from touching my CPU, the freakin' doorknob, etc...

Now how the heck do I stop myself from rubbing the bed?

Errr.... no. I WON'T ask my roommate to tie me up in bed to keep my hands and feet from rubbing fabric last thing I want is scandalizing the dorm with what seems to be lesbian bondage.

Whew! It's done! We were interviewed as comic artists in Studio 23's morning show "Breakfast"!
It wasn't as disastrous as I feared, so it's ok ;D I thank Gerry for the pics.

Madeleine L'Engle captured my imagination way before J.K. Rowling even came into the scene. About 10 years earlier, at least.

It started with Wrinkle in Time which is one of the most amazing books I've read in my youth, with its family of scientists delighting me with their scientific discussions at the dinner table.

After reading that I sought out Wind in the Door, Swiftly Tilting Planet, then the newest book of the series Many Waters.

If you love sci fi books you have to try reading her works. They're just awesome :)

My god! I mean, the whole time I have always been looking at my friends' deviant art pages and I just drool at all the freedom they have in posting artworks. I created an account in Digital Art and it is very restrictive because they choose which I can upload and not. I don't even know why they refuse to upload some of my works.

And of course, when I read the compliments and helpful comments about my works, I was totally blushing! Nothing excites me like having my works complimented by strangers as well as friends! Thanks to you all!

KILL BILL kicks wicked @$$!

Right after the New Year came in I found myself chatting with Cai! Someone I've met through the mailing list. I am just recently a member of Matrix Philippines and Star Wars Philippines, after being a long time member of Artists Den and Komikero. It turns out she is a member of Harry Potter Philippines, and invited me to join :)

I enrolled in the official website and got myself sorted to Slytherin (heheheh!) And I evn got to create my pet! Of course, it's named Putingkuting and I had it dressed up Matrix-style, because I got into the ML through MP ;D
