PRC Initial Registration for New Architects: How it actually happened

Warning: This is the chaos version! For the ideal version check the next post :) 

 STEP 1: Verification

 1) Prepared the following: duly accomplished Oath Form, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), lots of passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 1 short brown envelope with name and profession, and Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2015-2018. Arrived early (11am). 

 2) Queued at Window 12 in PRC Main Bldg, Ground Floor to present everything prepared. Was told to buy 2 sets of metered documentary stamps. 

 3) Bought 2 sets of metered documentary stamps. One was pasted on the Oath Form and the other was put inside the short brown envelope. They can't give me exact change so it was P3 short. 

 4) Queued at Window 12 again. Was told to paste the photo onto the Oath Form. 

 5) Sought the counter with a tub of paste. Pasted the photo onto the Oath Form. 

 6) Queued at Window 12 again. Oath Form was received. 

 7) Sat down somewhere and waited until my name gets called. My name got called. Was told to get O.R. of membership from UAP-IAPOA at address 929 Consuelo Bldg, Room 307, Morayta, Manila. The PRC website said nothing about getting an O.R. from UAP-IAPOA. 

 8) Walked around looking for Consuelo Bldg until a guard called me over to direct me up the stairs (poor guy must have been calling lost-looking new architects off the street all day). The cost was P700. The PRC website said nothing about preparing P700. and they gave a short brown envelope containing a brochure and a ribbon medal thing to wear at the ceremony. They were also selling tickets to the Oath Taking Ceremony at P1200 per head plus P350 for in-event photographer. Sought an ATM to withdraw to buy 4 tickets. Got the O.R. and walked back to PRC. 

 9) Queued at Window 12 again. Was told to get a photocopy of the O.R. Onga naman.

 10) Went out of the Main Bldg. to find PRC's xerox machine broke down so had to go out across the street for a copy costing P2. Got the photocopy. 

 11) Queued at Window 12 again. Oath Form with pasties and photocopy was finally received and stapled together. Was never asked for my cedula because I already wrote its number in the Oath Form. Thank you PRC website. 

 12) Sat down somewhere and waited until my name gets called. My name got called. My Permanent Examination and Registration Record Card (PERRC) was handed to me, along with my stapled Oath Form. Was told to go on to STEP 2. 

 STEP 2: Payment

 1) Queued at Window 1 (Window 2 was closed). Presented stapled Oath Form. Paid P1050. Was told to go on to STEP 3. 

 STEP 3: License Form

 1) Queued at Window 8. Was told to write in black ink the amount paid, something else(I forgot), and date registered at the back of PERRC, which I should place face down on top of the stack of face-down PERRCs of fellow registrants. 

 2) Sat down somewhere and waited until my name gets called. My name got called. My printout with license number was handed to me. Stamped right thumbprint. Was told to go on to STEP 4. 

 STEP 4: Claim Stub

 1) Sat down in front of Windows 7, 10, and 11 and changed seats as the queue moved. Signed 3 specimen signatures and wrote on short brown envelope my license number while waiting and changing seats(kinda tricky). Approached an available Window as soon as it's my turn. Presented short brown envelope (containing unpasted metered documentary stamp and 1 photo), stapled Oath Form, and PERRC. Claim stub was ripped off the Oath Form and handed to me. Was told to claim my Professional ID card at the Oath Taking. Was finally done and able to have lunch at 2pm.

Having skin so oily, US troops would invade it, I'm pretty interested. I'll probably try it when my current toner runs out.

my cosplay 2012

Cosplay, much as I enjoy it, is not getting much of a budget this year. Thanks to me being in a weird career limbo due to certain circumstances, with much of my savings having gone to Maya classes, family contributions and wedding preparations.

So yes, I'll be cosplaying Mio Akiyama of the K-On! series.

I'm growing my hair out for the wedding after which I plan to have it straightened and maybe get a hime cut.

The uniform (navy blazer, white shirt, blue ribbon, grey skirt and shoes) I already have from my previous Tsumugi cosplay. And I think I already have black socks lying around somewhere.

Silly Dream

I just woke from a silly dream and thought I'd share it with you guys.

I'm aware it's been a while since I last blogged; especially in this platform, and in this way; but I suppose reading through Xiaxue's archives somehow prompted me to start blogging again.

ANYWAY the dream:

It was the usual kind of dream where you start off watching a scene like in a movie, and then when I inadvertently start reacting or relating to one of the characters, I became that character, jumping right in to immediately answer my own question "Why, (if I'm that character,) I oughtta..."

That character I turned into may be anyone; a young boy, an old Indian woman, an unsure yuppie. I guess I should start describing the 'first' scene, as my dreams usually jump around from one scene to another, varying in genres and pure randomness. There may have been far more many scenes before it, but it was the earliest my right-brain memory could remember, as the rest have already faded away while I rambled in this post XD

I saw a young, newlywed couple who just moved in to a new neighborhood. A Christmas party targeted for children has just ended in their apartment, and the last child has just left, a boy tightly hugged the woman whom he loved so much. I assumed it's because he's her nephew or something, as I related it to my own relationship with my nephew Mikko. I could see myself doing the kiddie stuff never through my own kids, but through others' whom I'd love no less.

And immediately I was that woman. A dark-haired caucasian with a touch of Latina, secretly and painfully conscious of her own huge hips and thighs and wishing she could lose more weight, as she was taking down the holiday decorations off their windows. The new husband stopped her before she could get any further, telling her to let them savor the seasonal spirit for one more day. She closed the windows, still strewn with childish and cheap tinsel and plastic bells and mistletoes, and leaned back into his arms, staring out. She thought, "Well, he (the boy) would like that, too."

In the morning the man left for work on his motorcycle, similarly with dark Grecian-like features, as his wife ran out of the house asking in vain if she could ride with him to buy something, but the load roar of his motorcycle drowned out her uncertain, obviously not-loud-enough shy request, leaving her behind. The next scene showed her riding in a strange make shift shuttle system that resembled a jeep, which showed her coming back home with a jar of figs, annoyed with her own long, thick and straight black hair for flying about during the open-air ride. She was riding with her neighbors, all of which were of different races and backgrounds.

She went home to be greeted by a young plump redhead with frizzy hair and glasses who seemed to be wearing a costume straight out of Mobile Suit Gundam. That's when I realized the young woman was wearing something similar, although hers was a black short skirted number while the chubby redhead's was green.

I didn't find it strange at all to find Leonard Hofstadter sitting in one of the tables of what seemed to be a wedding reception banquet hall made out of an HDB's void deck. The redhead seemed to be trying to get Leonard to get attracted to the darkhaired woman, but for some reason it was Sheldon who looked more intrigued than anybody. He kept asking what's going on, and the darkhaired one (me?) kept trying to get him to stay still and wait for the redhead's announcement. She seemed to be worried he'd view the situation differently from what the redhead intended.

And sure enough, Sheldon was soon at the podium announcing to all the guests that he, like everyone else in that party, was unsure what in the world was going on, specifically whose marriage it was they were supposed to be celebrating, as apparently they attended no wedding, let alone the redhead's,who invited them all there. He went on to say that he has found the whole affair to be nothing more than another product of an otaku's delusion, as the whole party apparently was a celebration of her fanfic's wedding between Char Aznable and Natalie Bianchi. He suggested everyone to stand up and leave this 'utter hogwash that's not even canon'.

As the dark haired lady (who finally realized what their costumes were for, as they looked similar to Char's uniform) looked around as the guests stood up to leave, with the redhead pleading them to stay. Personally I found the redhead to be indeed a bit deceptive, but I suppose her dark haired friend is loyal, for the next thing I knew I found myself going up to Sheldon to interrupt his speech:

"Sheldon," she started with a very firm voice, like I remembered how I talked to my brother when he was trying to test our limits, "please. sit. down."

Sheldon tried to say more to prove himself right but her voice raised in volume a bit higher, but the pitch lower: "Now."

Subdued, Sheldon left the podium, but it was already too late. She addressed the leaving guests, "Why are you all leaving? The party is about to start!"

They answered "The married couple wasn't even real!"

At that she(I?) banged the podium with open palms and called out, "SO WERE ROMEO AND JULIET! And yet their love, and their tragedy, were celebrated for hundreds of years by EVERYONE. Including each and every one of YOU. Why can't we celebrate THEIR love now?"

At that point I found myself awake. I was frustrated for not being able able to know if she has succesfully convinced them, but I resigned myself to thinking it was an arguable point.

THERE IS SOMETHING WE CAN DO FOR TARA SANTELICES. PLEASE FORWARD TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW.

Word spreads around fast and almost everyone has already heard about what happened to our dear friend, Tara Santelices (Assumption Antipolo’s Batch 2003 and Ateneo de Manila University’s Class of 2007, AB Political Science).

On the eve of her 23rd birthday, Tara was shot in the head during a hold-up while riding a jeepney along Imelda Avenue, Cainta, Rizal. Joee Mejias, who was with her at that time, rushed her to Amang Rodriguez Memorial Hospital in Marikina City. The parents of Tara and Joee arrived at the hospital shortly thereafter. When morning came, Tara’s parents finally decided to transfer her to the Medical City, Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City. Since 8:00am of August 6, Tara has been in the ICU fighting for her dear life. Her parents have decided not to push through with the operation.

Although it might seem that there is nothing else that we can do but wait for Tara to wake up from this horrific nightmare, we, the friends of Tara, have decided to raise funds for Tara’s hospital bills. This is the least we can do to ease the unbearable pain her family is going through. We have been given the go-signal from Tara’s dad, Tito Larry, and here are the details:

Let's start the checklist from head to toe...

To I can get my blonde wig back I'm just waiting for gf Joy to schedule a meet-up ^^ I'll combine this with another wig borrowed from Batella. I bought a big dark barette, and a hair mascara to help my brows match teh blondenezz ;)

As for the glasses, I thought about painting my glass frames black, but decided against risking it since dad got me this gold plated baby from Hong Kong.

As for the top, I ganked a polo shirt from my lil sis. I think it used to be her uniform back in college or something. I bought a yard of tiny ruffles (no, not ROFLs) and stitched them down the front of the shirt. Then the long sleeves are cut off to be replaced with bigger ROF- er, ruffles made from a half-yard of white tetoron.

I found the black velvet sleeveless knee-length dress at an ukay shop across Robinson's Galleria ^^ the hemline was raised a LOT shorter, then added the bigger RO-... ruffles! to match the new sleeves. The neckline was also scooped lower.

I found long black fake nails also at the palengke! I even got a discount from the Taiwanese seller by conversing in Fookien XD I found glass bangles and bought 1 yellow, 2 whites, with a ring to match.

Finally I dug up my thigh-high black socks (which I've used in past cosplays) and found the white high-heeled pumps in Greenhills ^^

This was taken in that New Worlds Alliance event in Rockwell. This is the day I met Beany and Shin because they just invited me through Matt to join them in their cosplay photoshoot.

Beany lent me the top, coat and scarf. Her white wig is luuuurve! If I could borrow it I'd probably have the crazy idea to cosplay the White Witch of Forbidden Kingdom hehehe!

MEAW, not MEOW for my braces

Ooooh! I got it spelled wrong after all XD I tried Google again now that I am armed with correctly-spelled data:

Anyway, yeah. I got this wire fitted on my lower teeth, while my upper braces got their usual tightening. There's a dull pain now, which is worse than usual on my lower gums T_T so I'm afraid I'd have to give up going to Toy Con altogether this year. I'll just have to enjoy it through your stories, pictures and videos ^^ so make plenty! ;D And have fun!

MEOW on my braces? O_o

What the heck is that??
My ortho just told me she's gonna have me fitted for MEOW, to be installed by her partner Doc Rico this Saturday afternoon. I asked why he had to do it when she's the one I paid for the braces. She answered that her specialty is to distalize while his is MEOW. She tried to explain that it's a kind of wire that would help my overcrowded lower teeth move away from each other. She even showed me this weird wire that's shaped geometrically into strange squarish loops:

Ok, that's not as exact as it looked but it's the best I could do :p I tried Googling for more info about it but I couldn't find anything. I even asked a dear friend (hi Ron) and he wasn't sure himself, guessing it's a brand or something.
*sigh* so that means no Toy Con for me this year :( because I'm going to have to be in Laguna to get this MEOW thing, whatever that is.

Laguna, Braces, and Sculpey!

I went home to Laguna again after three weeks to get my braces adjusted. I met up with my Siobeh and we took a bus together. I owe her a movie, probably Indiana Jones.

The adjustment was the most painful I've ever had! Suffice it to say it drove me nuts T_T The ligatures are pure wires this time, so no colorful elastics :p

Sunday was fun though! I took part in the Claylettes workshop :3 you can read more here! Karla was simply wonderful and the info she shared was very practical and useful ^^

Thanks to all my friends and family who made my day giving me their birthday greetings!

Last week Derrick and I decided to celebrate our birthdays (being born eleven days apart) by watching Iron Man followed by a wonderful pasta dinner and yummy slices of the most sinful cake in Banapple.

Last Friday Sir Edwin allowed me to celebrate in Antarctica. Kel was absent(regrettable, since he's the one who introduced me to this circle of friends, and I was looking forward to the famous Kelbonara), and it was too late to cook :( so I advanced some money to be able to buy at least a Barrel from KFC. The Antarcticans graciously cooked enough rice (and believe me, it was a lot!) while Eric bought a tray of sushi and Erving bought some sodas ^^ Another notable gift would be the all the glompage I got that night XD And I enjoyed hearing Hao sing a Carpenter song with Eric, and sometimes Tonet, playing along on the keyboards.

Looking back, I am very thankful to have undeniable proof that God is always there for me. I've been to hell and back, but God made sure I'd come of it ok, stronger and wiser. For a while until the start of 2007 was a very dark time, but I am lucky to be blessed by the good people and events that followed since :)

Thanks to all of you, my family and friends, you have made my new life a much better and happier one.

Laguna Weekend

I left for Laguna Saturday morning, hopping onto a Batangas-Lipa bus to transfer to a jeep when I reach Jollibee Sto. Tomas. I could easily walk home from a jeep stop but my family insisted they pick me up :) Kuya Epy came along pretty quick and I rode in his motorcycle. I rested and ate a bit before going to the dentist to get my braces adjusted.

My usual dentist was unavailable so there was a substitute. If my ligature didn't snap I would have waited another week :p He resolved the poking wire at my upper right molar band, saying it grew longer midway because my upper teeth have moved. Unfortunately the poking wire in my lower molar band is still puncturing my poor tongue :( Now I'll have to wait another three weeks before I could have it seen to T_T my only consolation was the gold colored ligatures look pretty, and the adjustment doesn't hurt at all (I hope it's due less to the sub's incompetence and more to my growing theshold of pain).

I spent the rest of the weekend watching DVDs, playing DS(accidentally deleted Professor Layton sorry T_T) and watching the three babies dance to Sesame Street. I saw Achi's Noble Pink DS bought in Singapore, and I had my nails done by my lil sis. My toe nails are now Hello Kitty pink lol! Dad and mom also did some reflexology they learned at the seminars they were given ^^

Ok, enough randomness hehe :) I'm now back in Manila and will be staying here until I go back for braces adjustment on May 17.

Miker told me last night that he and Ranulf were going to Sanctuarium for Mina's wake. This took me by surprise, and I decided to go with them. We went there and wrote in the guestbook relaying messages from more friends in different communities who wished to extend their condolences. She died of breast cancer. I think she was 42 (I'll try to confirm this). You may visit Sanctuarium, third floor. We easily found it because there was a huge arrangement of flowers with the indicating that it's from the Animation Council of the Philippines.

You have touched so many lives Mina :) thank you for bringing together all the creative people in every community.

Thufferin' thuccotash!

I got my braceth latht Thaturday and it hath been driving me nutth everthince. It hath altho been quite an educational ordeal for me during thith learning curve.

For one thing, I learned that my tongue could be a very strong er, muscle? organ? whatever. It jutht means I'll probably try tying a cherry thtem into a knot with my mouth XD tho far I only know it'th my only meanth to cut thoft thoggy noodleth to eat >< And thpeaking of noodleth, long noodleth meanth trouble.

I altho learned that ortho wax ith luuurve! The inthide of my left molar band ith poking into my tongue tho much it'th all sore now :( I only got relief when I finally decided to try the wax which I got with my weird looking toothbrush with umm, thomething that lookth like a baby bottle cleaner, only much smaller.

I thoon after bought mouthwash and Pyodontyl too, along with a dental adhesive paste. I thtill couldn't bring mythelf to put 'deprotenized calf blood extract' whatever inthide my mouth though.

And timeth like these I'm glad I'm not a call center agent.

They gave it to us for joining their Machinima contest. I was hoping to win their gorgeous GE external disk for my new widescreen laptop ^^ I'm not sure much of the details at this point... will update when I get more info

Anyway I'm glad that I am able to buy the premium item pirate costume for my Adelina!

I'd like the ATP card itself but let's just say it's too... elusive for me at the moment :p For now I'm glad to get the costume! I only wish I can also get the hat, but if it's too difficult for me to get I'll just make an eyepatch for my cosplay. Anyway, look how much I leveled up since I got my Adelina that's my screenshot from my laptop, with the ATP wallpaper peeking underneath.

Adelina GET!!!

I've been levelling up my La Coronas (my Brunie 'Joy', scout 'Beany' and male wiz 'Abelard') with Shin boosting me(until he has to go sleep ^^) when Erv offered to help me get the Adelina RNPC card :D Using the Brunie I got from Shin I went with his party Helina et al to Porto Bello and completed the quest (I find it yurilicious how I wouldn't have been able to get the card without Brunie)! I quickly replaced the male wiz with Adelina and proceeded with her story. I am pleased to find her story to be of vengeance. I took screenshot of her convo with Capt Ricardo, and improvised a few of my own...

Capt. Ricardo: "I told you I do not know where Bardi is! I only know he's here in Coimbra..."

Adelina: "Aye, me bonny lass, ye can put yer knife down now."

... Having my yuri harem for henchies = WIN!

my Victorian Valentine Pics

I got in to the Victorian Valentine thanks to Ranulf ^^ I'm supposed to perform a sword demo with him but I never got enough practice so I had to beg him to perform it with someone else.

Thankfully Sam got off early from his fashion show and joined us! He performed the sword demo with Ranulf and someone else(will update when I learn who).

I got the first two from Sam :) I'll upload more as I find them ^^ I cosplayed as Adelina Esperanza from Granado Espada.

I got there thanks to Joy (cosplaying as Brunie Etienne) and Dandan (cosplaying as Jean-Pierre) picking me up from Miker's place.

I was editing the movie there with Miker but sadly we didn't finish the revisions in time :( and Miker didn't join us to visit his family.

Victorian Valentine was a blast! I saw the most gorgeous people in the most gorgeous costumes I'm still squeeing the morning after :3

And us GE cosplayers had a wonderful time in the GE E-games booth, which we dubbed The Barracks.

And yes! We had yuri raep tiemz!!! Mon cheri Brunie and Bernelli harassed my dear Nikki it was delightful XD I'm so glad she agreed to join our GE cosplay photoshoot as Catherine the Summoner with our beautiful GE ladies Bea and Presea(in her delicious Elementalist outfit).

And I won as Baroness of the Ball while Shin won as Baron (I just love how all the men looked so dashing!). We duelled over the prizes after, and I am enjoying my spoils: my GE t-shirt hehehe!

I can't wait to add more pictures! :3

Laptop GET!

I got my Blue Radon W310 from my friend Ranulf, who is planning to go back to his first love and buy a Macbook XD

Here's to more rakets ^_^ squee! I am very thankful how I'm slowly getting the items in my wishlist, by my own professional perseverance, no less, and of course, God's grace.

Ranulf bought this laptop less than six months ago, so when he offered it as payment for the gigs he's been sending my way, I thought it's a good deal :)

I'm still feeling my way around :D Since it's my first time owning a laptop and all. I'll be installing Photoshop so I can work wherever I am: be it in my dorm, in San Pablo, or in Antarctica XD Getting a laptop has been justified by my (reluctantly) nomadic nature.

It's been getting more and more difficult having to dig up PSD files and whatnot from different desktops in my different locations. I've been on the move ever since I started college. I've been so busy and hardly stay in one place long enough that I still couldn't finish any games I've installed in my desktop (which I also happily bought less than a year ago ^^).

WTH it's been a year??? OMG O_O

Hmmm well it's been an... eventful year for me. I have since moved to Multiply. And will probably create an album there for Pilya. I'll try to update this blog whenever I upload a new strip. So far I've written five more. I just need to have more time to draw them, for I am starting from scratch >< the good news is I finally have my own PC. W00t!

UGGXX - UGotGame eXtreme eXpo

Cosplay Contest Mechanics
1) The Cosplay contest would be an individual cosplay contest within the UGG X3m Xpo event on September 22, 2007 at the Market! Market! Activity Area. Each cosplayer will be given 20-30 seconds to go on stage and perform some signature moves of the character (Please see Criteria for Judging).

2) All characters being portrayed by all participating cosplayers should originally (meaning their first appearance) only come from the following:

- Arcade Games
- PC games
- Console Games

3) Timezone and Matahari Studios (Philippines) employees are disqualified from entering this contest.

4) Cosplayers are required to register on the event itself and be in the staging area 30 minutes before the cosplay ramp. Itinerary for cosplay activities are as follows:

2:00pm - Start of Cosplay Registration
3:30pm – End of Cosplay Registration
4:30pm – Roll Call of Cosplayers
5:00pm – Start of Cosplay Ramp
5:45pm – Estimated End of Cosplay Ramp

5) The following information will be included in the pre-registration form:

- Real Name* (first name and last name)
- Gender
- Age
- Email Address/contact information*
- Characters to cosplay (please include the arcade/PC/console game where the characters being cosplayed belongs to)

*Not giving the real name or email/contact information is grounds for disqualification.

6) Cosplay contestants should be 16 years of age or older. They must be prepared to be in costume for hours.

7) Costumes must not be gory, messy or obstructive to the flow of people in the event. Real weapons and exploding, breaking or harmful props are not allowed.

8) The judges’ decision is final and cannot be appealed.

9) Cosplay prizes are as follows:

- First Prize - Php 5,000.00
- Second Prize - Php 3,000.00
- Third Prize - Php 2,000.00

10) Criteria for Judging are as follows:

• Attire (Accuracy, Craftsmanship, Creativity)- 40%
• Stage Performance (Characterization, Stage Presence, Projection)- 50%
• Audience Impact - 10%

- Twenty (20) Finalist slots available
- Non-game development professionals ONLY
- More than one entry may be submitted by each contestant, but only one will be accepted should the artist be nominated for a finalist slot
- Evaluation Copies to be submitted in A4 size paper a month before the main event
- Finalists will be required to bring their mounted artwork to the show; can print their entries in bigger than A4 size and will be provided a wall space to set up their artwork
- Universities/Colleges cannot select students to represent their school
